It's just that AG is never mentioned as anything and suddenly Bucher is saying that he's this and that. My comment is not against AG but against these guys that talk nonsense just to defend their hot takes.

@Gabriel Burgos he's mentioning AG in the context of being a great defender during the playoffs vs elite competition. Nuggets don't rely on him for scoring at all. He'll occasionally have a 15-20 point game, but that's icing on the cake. He is really good at cutting through lanes and finishing at the rim with passes from Murray and Jokic. He's a solid rebounder on both sides of the court too. AG does the dirty work that guys like Jokic and MPJ are unable to do because of their lack of aggressiveness on defense.

Excluding the 21’ season when Jaylen got hurt Tatum has been one of the top 5 most valuable players in the league over the last 4 years. He has done all that and is still only 25 lol. This is a different Lakers team than the one the Nuggets faced this season let alone the 2020 WCF. The last game the Nuggets and Lakers played this season was in January before the trade deadline.

Both teams are very different than when they faced either in January. Denver has the same players, but they were still figuring things out, Jamal and Porter missed 21’, 22’, KCP, Brown and Braun were finding their spot with Denver, Bones Hyland getting minutes. Wasn’t until after the all star break before they really gelled. Lakers also very different with additions. Should be a good series, Nuggets in 6.

@Beaverto 71 I don't disagree that they are different but Nuggets were faltering late in the season and sort of crawled into the playoffs. That being said, they are playing great basketball right now but I don't think this is a good matchup for them especially LeBron. He's the one guy they just can't match and if he has a big series I like the Lakers chances.

@Timothy Alvarez yep, Lebron will be tough, he is a tough matchup for anyone. I think Gordon is about as good as you can hope for to match up against him rthough, he is an elite defender, athletic and strong, maybe not Lebron strong, but still a strong guy. I actually think the Jokic Davis matchup is the key though and I see Jokic winning it. He has 30lbs on Davis and the Lakers don’t have Howard and McGee to throw at him. People are still underestimating Jokic, not sure why other than he doesn’t look like a basketball player. Davis won’t underestimate him. Foul trouble for either Jokic or Davis would be a huge problem for their team. Denver is bigger at every position other than Lebron/Gordon. I guess we will find out starting tomorrow, in hindsight it may look obvious as to where the holes are. I’m a biased Nuggets fan, but I also objectively really like their chances in this series.

@Timothy Alvarez the Nuggets took their foot off the breaks towards the end of the season to be fresh for the playoffs. And they still finished as the 1 seed. The Lakers barely made it into the play in tourney. You can easily argue the Nuggets would've had a stronger record had they kept playing their starters, but they still finished as the 1 seed. Fresh legs will be the difference in this matchup, and the nuggets played a great hand going into the playoffs.

I think Klay is the only tradeable asset for the Dubs, Poole played his value into the toilet this playoff, Draymond is rly a specialty player that you can only play with shooters, so that only leaves Klay. They do need a somewhat big makeover, in the sense I don’t think you just add a couple of role players with the core but I don’t see any available all star player out there that you can swap with Klay that will make this team batter.

The only issue the Lakers have to contend with is the every other day games against the Nuggets. To have them play after one off is a travesty. Have the players go at it every 3 days between travels. They need the rest, especially LeBron and AD.

Ric Bucher normally says fairly intelligent remarks on the NBA and it's players in general but in this vlog, he sounds so stupid saying Austin Reeves is "ALL ABOUT" basically faking getting fouled. He gets fouled period. He is crafty and has underrated handles, which makes him difficult to guard when he gets into the paint area. The refs are right there to see all of that. The refs know as well, Austin is a very intelligent player so much above a 2nd year player's IQ. Ric Bucher missed me on his hating. I'm actually disappointed due to his stupid comments. This whole run nobody is giving the Lakers role players credit. They are long, athletic, and bought in 10000% defensively. Every player is comfortable in their skin and role. These games are going to be close, and I'll pick LeBron in a close playoff game 100 times out of 100. If this Lakers team had played all 82 they would've won 56 games and nobody would think it's "crazy" to pick them.

I said it once Poole & Draymond trade for an Athletic Explosive Wing 6’8 6’9 who can put the ball in the basket and can play bigger I.e. 4s on the defensive end. Send Klay to bench as 6th man, Start or hopefully Kuminga make the jump if so Start him at the 2. The new 4, Wiggins at the 3, Kuminga at the 2, Steph and Looney. Go get a serviceable Big quality Bench guy and that’s 2024 Warriors.

Lol Aaron Gordon...I think it's a pretty safe assumption that Lebron is going to outplay him in the series, and most likely out play Murray as well, who is really not that great of a co star. He can get streaky and hot sometimes, but his overall game is nothing special. AD versus Jokic, Denver may have a slight advantage there if AD doesn't bring it every night, but they are likely a wash as far as effectiveness. Jokic will play better on offense and AD will be the defensive monster. The role players will determine this series and its somewhat even there. Both teams have depth, but I think the Lakers are longer, better defensively, and have more variety of scorers from the role players. Series is a toss up, slight edge to Lakers if AD shows up.

Guys like Kobe and Jordan would luuuuv to be in Jordan Poole shoes. Everybody doubting you, room to improve, lock yourself in a gym and get better. Those guys had to manufacture those chips on their shoulder just to beat one more thing. And I love how these hosts and analysts are going against Lakers. They are usually wrong anyway. Lebron has a healthy AD and a locker room full of guys playing defense and his style of ball and they all look hungry. I don’t see any of remaining 3 opponents beating Lakers.
