I love how moms of every ethnicity have some things in common 😂 every mom does that thing with the bag

The fact that the majority of this skit's dialogue was in Spanish and still somehow got approved and broadcast on national mainstream television actually got me right in the feels. It speaks volumes!.... and it still brought ALL THE LAUGHS!

Pedro is the only actor I will ever accept in a Mrs. Doubtfire reboot now. 😂

I think it's awesome that Pedro got all this Spanish incorporated into the episode, and I also love that even if you don't speak Spanish you still get the jokes 😂😂 that's talent

It’s so comforting to have real actors like Pedro lead a scene. They’re relaxed it makes the comedy work much better.

Pedro is so talented, I forgot he had facial hair and he delivered the character flawlessly, the end when she asks about grandkids and starts ticking at her wrist made me cackle out loud

rough translation of some of mama's statements: Louis, is she crazy? I cooked for everyone. And this girl comes to my house with vegan sliders? My daugher-in-law can't study fine art and use your money for so called Baroque architecture. Mama, she doesn't care about money. You can imagine, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Britney with the vegan sliders. Be nice to the poor thing. She's a nice white girl. She takes good care of herself and always puts on sunscreen. She is very talented and knows how to play ultimate frisbee. She walks into my house with her "family doctor" and talks about normalizing ADD. Mama, I understand that you don't like her unisex apparel. If it wasn't for her I would have never seen White Lotus. This little witch with her Pintrest talking about "hey man... But don't tell me that you are going to marry her or have a long term relationship, okay? I don't care if you mess around with her for a one night stand... (hit the old thumbs up please so others can see this, I'm surprised no one else wrote this out already)

i'm Asian but this is sooooo relatable. the saving of the bags, the switching between english and your second language bc there's no direct translation of the same words. not calling your mom often enough. LOL!!! truly a gem of a sketch!!!

The "why didn't you tell me she was a woman of God" line deserved way more laughs 😂😂😂

This is absolutely hilarious. Pedro is all in, with on point body language, voice, gestures, everything. Wonderful! The writing was much funnier than staying in one language would have been, with English popping out in great punch lines. I hope they do more skits like this. Though probably it was Pedro’s genius that made it work so well.

Coming from a Cuban family, the saving the bag killed me 😂 too many Christmas bags from the early 2000s in a dusty closet.

He folded that bag so delicately while taking as much time as he needed. It made the girl off screen laugh out loud. Pedro really is an amazing actor, he gets so into it with almost every role he is handed. What a guy.

As a black Mama and the daughter of a black Mama, this was like looking at my life. 🤣 When I brought my white boyfriend (now husband) home, I made sure to let the parents know he came from a religious family first or he might not have made through the door. Mom and I both have special containers for bags and my husband's family looked at me crazy the first Christmas when I carefully folded up all the bags AND tissue paper. And if someone brings food to mine or my mom's house (unless it's dessert) and we've cooked for everyone, you might as well have spit in our faces.

I need hours of Pedro acting as a mama or abuela 😹

I looked for this because of a clip my sister sent me. I had no idea I was going to laugh as hard as I did. Fantastic sketch! Pedro absolutely nailed the part of the Latin mom. I'm guessing he and the writers drew inspiration from their own families, haha. Props to the subtitle team as well.

Can we continue to have more of these half in English, half in Spanish sketches? They are absolutely hilarious....I do not speak much Spanish beyond the basic amount all Texans know, but I work with coworkers who are mostly hispanic and these sketches are just sooo relatable and totally funny...I honestly keep looking up all the sketches with Pedro and Marcel because I want more of this lol...the sketch with Marcel and the Spanish-speaking girl (I'm sorry I haven't learned everyone's names yet!), in the Spanish class with the bad Spanish teacher, was spot on and so funny...wish there were more of these!! ❤❤❤

Pascal is so convincing as a woman...he didn't need to change his facial hair. You don't even notice it, that is how good he is playing this part.

I have to assume that the majority of the audience couldn't relate very much to this type of experience based on their lack of reaction to certain bits (especially when he folded the bag up so carefully and then saved it) but oh my god it's like watching a video of my Nana with facial hair. Absolutely genius.

Watching this again....Pedro is really great with comedy. He could seriously be a regular member of the SNL cast if he wanted to be.

Someone tried to tell his daughters who Burt Reynolds was and when he showed them pictures they said, "That's Pedro Pascal!" Truer than they knew. Reynolds was not only a sex symbol he was a terrific comedian, and so is this guy. Reynolds was the #1 box-office star five years in a row. Go for it, Mr. Pascal. Come back to SNL, they need you, and you're great here.

Jesus Christ 😂 as Latina it's exactly what I expect when my brother brings home his girl. Also love that she brought something for the house only to realize no such thing as vegan in a Latina household except for that one cousin. I love Pedro❤

I love sketches that home in on such a specific kind of character. Personally I’d love to have Pedro pascal as my overbearing but supportive mother

This sketch was phenomenal. As a Spanish speaking Latino, it was a treat. The back n forth between English and Spanish was seamless. So many relatable moments that hit close to home lol Pedro really carried this sketch, but damn, Marcello and Chloe were just perfect too. Props to everyone behind this sketch.
