Larry Bird was an absolute beast on the court. And if I'm not mistaken Larry Bird is one of the only players that M.J never beat in the playoffs. Jordan and the Bulls went 0-6 against Bird and the Celtics in the playoffs. That alone speaks volumes on how good Larry Bird actually was

LeBron James, Steph Curry, Blake Griffin, Klay Thompson and James Harden couldn't play in the Bird, Magic and Jordan (80's) era. Every night those guys faced defenders like Rick Mahorn, Derek Harper, John Starks, Kevin McHale, Scottie Pippen, Mark Eaton, Karl Malone, Moses Malone, Dr. J, Maurice Cheeks, Hakeem Olajuwon and many others that made it known if you were going to put a shot up in the NBA a price had to be paid for that shot and the Ref's let them play.
