As a WVU/Pats fan it was bitter sweet to see Shady on Bradys team. Shady knocked WVU out of the NC game w/one of the biggest upsets in CFB history. This was when WVU had Pat White, Steve Slaton, Owen Schmitt, Pat McAfee and about a Dozen others who would eventually reach the NFL. During this time the NYG knocked off the undefeated Pats in the SB. Was the best and worst season as a WVU/Pats fan. He wasnt much of a factor but I thought he was a good veteran pick-up for Lenny and Rojos benefit. Lenny reminds me a lot of Prime Shady now with his resurrection. Js

The point you’re missin abot the matt casssell season goin 11 and 5 but missing the playoffs is, the Patriots in the previous season with the same weapons went 18 and 0, but lost in the superbowl from a freakish play. That’s a heck of a drop off!

Aye this is why Brady is the goat 🐐 and my favorite player ever. He has proven with his play skills but even more with his leadership. Tom has stories like ever other QB great we've had. The difference though is that Brady's are not bad things ever story or new thing we hear About Brady is great and how he leads a team and treats teammates like family and knows what simple things as texting the team about each players best attributes and will say what you need to improve on and get better with. And like McCoy said he doesn't single out he texted ever offense and defense players and didn't diss them but just pointed out flaws to improve on to win superbowls not win season games or playoff games but to win superbowls. Brady's best superbowl performance was in that Superbowl far as his on paper stats Brady turned into a monster that game but when butler is benched and Foles picking apart who ever that back up CB for Butler was? So long story short Brady is the goat and needed no one to do so other than his actual team mates who played with him. Far as Bill Brady didn't need him and he showed it one year takes bucs to superbowl and the defense murdered mahomes bucs win break records and get the best superbowl ring ever imo fr pats were huge rings that were over the allowed sizes but Kraft said fuck that. And ole glazer family said the same the bucs ring is huge asf and beautiful has some emerald cut diamonds and also had the screw off top piece that ring imo is the best and I actually felt it coming far as design after seeing the NBA warriors ring being flippable to blue or white diamonds when you take the top off and switch it around I knew the next Brady ring would be like that.

Shady is breaking it down. Also, Belichik really is a great coach. A big reason why they fell of so hard after Brady is that the Hoodie cashed all his capital in to make that last run with Brady. Brady's last year and the first year without Brady, they just didn't have a lot of talent. Now, last year, they got a QB Bill likes and started the rebuild, they made the playoffs again. They won't be the dynasty they were with Brady, unless Mac Jones turns into a true Hall of Famer, but they will be consistently good.

For me, outside of the Very historical Super Bowl/Sports story; the affection you can feel and see, from 4 very respectable, tough, alpha black male athletes, openly talk with such affection for a former teammate who happened to be a white kid from the middle class of California- is a beautiful thing. I used to doubt TB being the "Goat" cause he always played in the same system and I argued Peyton Manning was more proven but after he left and signed with Tampa Bay especially at such an advanced age it became clear he really is the Goat.

I like hearing stories about starstruck NFL and NBA athletes lol. Allen Iverson said the first time he was on the same court as Jordan he looked like he was glowing 😆. I mean could you imagine? One minute you're just a kid and a fan of the game that just happens to play it well and the next minute you're drafted and all of the sudden you're colleagues with the folks you idolized and modeled your game after. That'd be a trip in my opinion. Most of us will never know that feeling, but we could all imagine it.

Without a doubt, Tom Brady has shown other elite athletes the path and the mindset of developing and maintaining a "BRAND". Everything Tom Brady does is to improve his brand. I honestly think that he learned this type of mindset from his wife Gisele Bundchen, when they met in 2006 Bundchen was already consodet an elite super model. Now, athletes like LeBron James and Cristiano Ronaldo all have similar mindsets... There is a documentary about Cristiano Ronaldo that I highly recommend. Basically, it's about the brand and spending the time to expand it.

I'm a fan myself of these are good stories of Tom, people that try to hate on Tom bcuz he is a nice guy but those of us who remember when it was ok to be competitive and try to be the best in your sport, but you can be friends off the field/court but on, any competitors are just trying to be their best athlete they can be and be the best teammate they can be. Im a lifelong die-hard Steelers fan but above even that, I’m a sports fan. That said, as much as I’ve hated Brady every time we’ve faced him for 20+ years now (actually, it wasn’t that I hated Brady, I hated the Pat’s), I can’t even hesitate to say that he’s the greatest QB we’ve ever seen play the game. Straight beast mode when it comes to getting those W’s.
