This man deserves all of the respect, all of the flowers and all of the love. Kendrick is one of the greatest artists of all time!

“In a land where hurt people hurt people, fuck calling it culture” This is the deepest line in the song for me. I think what Kendrick is saying here, is that unfortunately, some of the problems that exist within the black community today, are considered “part of the culture” and almost accepted in a way. And that is unfortunate. There is nothing “black” about gangs, broken families, toxic relationships. These are results of generations of traumas that black Americans have faced, and while that should be understood, it should not be accepted as good by us.

Congrats Kendrick Lamar for winning the Grammy for best rap album and best rap song. Very well deserved 🙏🔥

Like I get everybody want to party and get faded to turn up music, trap and drill but damn, we can’t let soul touching music die just because we feel like mindlessly dancing. There a time and place for that but we’ve made too much time for the partying and pre k rhymes. I love music that makes me feel something more than vanity.
