Aaron Rodgers is not the only quarterback to have five primetime games this season. New Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love will also have five of his own. The Packers open up the season against Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears. Most of the teams have non-elite defenses (based on 2022), which gives Love an opportunity to show flashes and even shine. Colin Cowherd explains why the new QB has some pressure on him. In the AFC, the Jacksonville Jaguars open up their season against the Indianapolis Colts and a Week 2 showdown in a divisional round rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs. K.C. may be the favorite to win Super Bowl 58 but watch as Colin explains why the Jaguars will be the No. 1 seed.

@Zachary Hayes Tua was elite last year until he got his head knocked around, dude lead the league in passer rating and was one of the favorites for MVP prior to his aforementioned head knocking. Kirk was also not too bad last year, idk if I'd say elite, but he's far above average, he's a top 12 quality QB. Russ was mid af last year but he should be better with Payton so I mean it wasn't totally off base

I think they will be a breakout team but the difference between Eagles last year and the Jags this year, the NFC wasn't nearly as stacked as the AFC this year. The Eagles had a vice grip on the #1 seed after the first month of the season after beating the Vikings and Cowboys, the 49ers hot streak came too late to catch up. I think it will be much harder to get that 1 seed for Jacksonville

Jacksonville had back to back first overall picks with one of best and most complete Quarterback prospects ever available, they were almost forced to make a change at Head Coach because of the dumpster fire of a coach that Urban Meyer was and they play in the worst divison in football. If they are not completely incompetent, there is no way they are not successfull. They have to actively want to lose games to not be successfull.

Strong schedules absolutely help you more than they hurt. Playing the whole season at a higher intensity level prepares you for the playoffs. If you can't make the playoffs playing mostly playoff teams, you weren't goign to WIN once you got to the playoffs anyway. So in that case you're now better off because you're goign to have much better draft capital, you get to reload and try again next year with more talent.

It’s definitely a favourable schedule but that could be a detriment as well because I’d expect this packers team to finish 9-8 with Jordan love but if it’s a disaster and they’re 1-4 going to bye and let’s say 2-9 or 3-8 week 12 I don’t know if you can stick with the guy it just seems like a make or break year for love

My only thing about the chiefs schedule, yeah they have the "gauntlet" (don't know yet how much of one it is but I like them playing Payton on a short week and then going to altitude a couple weeks later), but they still play the bills and bengals at home. Just once I wanna see them play IN BUFFALO. Bengals, back and forth, whatever, Joe's still Joe.

Packers schedule is rather nice. Only one elite team (Chiefs at Lambeau) and a bunch of could be good/could be bad teams. Playoffs is not out of the question.

Betting on a team to be a 1 seed based on "soft schedule" is usually a losing bet. Without fail there are a minimum of 4-6 teams in the NFL that were dogwater the year before and have a great season the next. The Jags have not been a team that has consistently put back to back seasons together for a while. Maybe Doug Peterson will change that. But there are also probably some teams in their division that will be much better. It's almost a guarantee that at LEAST one of the colts, titans or texans will be significantly better this year than last year and that's likely going to cost the Jags a game or two on their schedule. Plus they have to play a first place schedule, which means they get the Bills, Chiefs and Bengals. They may not win any of those games. So if you're already dropping three of your non-division games, and might drop a couple divisional games, you're already at 5 losses. 12 wins probably isn't enough for the AFC 1 seed.

Love has few starts and was a surprise and he saw vanilla against him. I expect him to look like a rookie after whatever happens the first 3 or 4 games. Rookies can face a bottom third defense and struggle to clear 20, Rogers struggled with that offense until he woke up and got serious around game 9. You haven't seen him play 5 weeks in a row, you put Love, Levis, and Richerdson first 8 games this year, I would consider it a guess who will look better though Love has a better team, I think all 3 will get 8 starts this year.

It's not 5 straight weeks at home. Games 3 & 4 of that stretch are in LONDON. They are going to be overseas for 2 weeks. So, they have two home games, 2 neutral site, and then 1 home game.

Remember, he’s saying this assuming that Bryce young wk17, Anthony Richardson wk1 & wk6, and cj stroud wk3 & wk12 are not going to be top 15 QBs right now, also, High chance Kenny pickett has a huge jump to year 2, high chance that uninjured trey lance can be very good as well. Derek carr and Dashawn could be top 15 on their new teams under new coaching. And better receiving core/ run game (for the browns) so in turn, by Colin’s reasonings for difficulty of schedule not being talent of team but talent of QB there’s a chance that 12 teams could have Top 15 Qbs which would actually make this one of the HARDEST schedules, but there’s also a chance a majority of the Qbs not currently elite are middle of the road and then yes it would be an easy schedule by his reasoning

I would love to agree with Colin about the jaguars but I just don't have faith of them in them as a franchise like that just yet. I see them being maybe the third or fourth seed in the conference, but there is no way they leapfrog the Bengals and the Chiefs and the bills and the chargers all the way to the top of the conference. I see that as wishful thinking.

As a Jags Fan I do not see them becoming the #1 seed. Possibly a 10 win team this year but definitely not a #1 seed. Either Chiefs or Bengals at #1 seed. Jags might be fighting with the Bills to be the #3 seed but they won’t be #1

I'm no chiefs fan, but they will and should be favored in every game. No one else but you Colin thinks Russel Wilson and Kirk cousins are elite quarterbacks. So they have just as many breaks between elite quarterbacks as Jacksonville does. Difference though, the chiefs are a really good team.

This is the wrong take on the KC schedule. KCs most difficult opponents, Phi, Cin, Buf are at home where the Eagles and Bengals schedules are harder on the road. Jags aren't good enough to take advantage of their schedule

Colin wants to be a soundbyte for the Chief’s second-straight super bowl so bad. He doesn’t believe that Tua or Kirk are “elite” QBs he’s never one-time on his show called them elite, and yet in order to work his mental gymnastics they’re all of a sudden elite. He’s just saying it so he can be the first on the “wow, the chief’s dynasty is up there with the pats!”-take late in the season. (well second, behind Nick Wright of course)
