One if the best, if not the best, scenes in GoT. Outstanding use of camera angle. Brienne's expressions are perfect and priceless as she takes in Arya's abilities; a brilliant performance. Even so, Brienne doesn't go all out but stays in 'training' mode, testing Arys' skill (note the look of concern after kicking Arya down, worrying she went too far) while Arya comes close to her maximum abilities and proves she's worthy of Brienne's training. We learn more about Brienne than Arya in this scene.
this is just a friendly the reminder that they way we learned that Joffrey was a physcopath in book one was that he insisted on using sharp steel swords in training
I hated Sanza this whole show. Her saying "I won winterfell back,I did this I did that." Like bitch,I didn't see you on the battlefield risking your life. Nor did I see you on the battlefield when the night Kings army invaded.
I shall be that guy. The 2 handed blade would brute force through the twig the small girl was wielding. Little girl had poor grip and no stance with the weapon. Even parrying/deflecting would be impossible at those defensive angles unless she had super strength in the show... i dont watch it
It’s realistic until about 1:09 in. After that those heavy blows can’t be stopped by a skinny sword and arm. In the beginning she dances around good and avoids the blunt force, but then after like midway through she can’t ‘clash’-block a heavy sword like that from a woman of briannes size. It’s good for the first half.
A sword rang as it was drawn. "Do what you will; but I will hinder it, if I may." "Hinder me? Thou fool. No living man may hinder me!" Then Merry heard of all sounds in that hour the strangest. It seemed that Dernhelm laughed, and the clear voice was like the ring of steel. "But no living man am I! You look upon a woman." ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
