I was working with some 20-year-olds and one of them used “mid” in a sentence a couple weeks ago. I got SO excited! And not just internally. I actually told her she was the first person in real life I’d heard use “mid” and how happy I was to understand her. Yep. That’s a thing my middle-aged self did.

@brendammitlol me too but i got you! someone else explained bias but era can be a way to describe a particular time or concept for an artist, show or person. for ex, one way to use it could be "i really love lemonade era beyonce" to mean bey from that time specifically, aka era, but you can also use it casually or as a joke like they did in the sketch. if your friend looks good you could say she's in her "hot girl era", like that
