I can’t take that guy seriously because of the shirt he is wearing. I’m overweight and I would never wear a shirt like that. I wouldn’t wear that if I was skinny.

I though I was plus sized until I watched this video. It turns out that plus sized means morbidly obese. I thought plus sized just means overweight like me

i think being plus size is fine but i don’t think normalizing being unhealthy isn’t okay.

when I lost weight(i wasn't overweight, but I was lil chubby) my whole family was against it. 'Oh you are so thin, it's not healthy, it's ugly' But the reason I lost weight is bc I started to do sports and take care of my mental health, i stopped using food as a way to cope, and i started to cook more and healthier. So even tho my family is not really 'supportive', this decision, made me feel healthier. I felt better about myself on so many lvls. Especially just being more fit over all...

being morbidly obese isn't body positivity. Body positivity is about loving what you can't change about yourself but NOT using it as an excuse to be extremely unhealthy

As someone who is considered skinny and nearly underweight I can honestly say I never had to quit my job because of my weight. I do however have been criticised for getting kids meals in restaurants as I barely manage to finish those. A lot of people ask me how I reached that weight and compliment me for it. It's honestly one of the worst things for me because I know the amount of food I eat is unhealthy. It's not enough to eat one meal a day yet I often don't eat more because I am not hungry. I have freak outs any time I gain weight and get over a 113 lbs. I constantly look at the amount and type of food I eat. So many people wish they were skinny and I honestly wish I could eat three meals a day without getting nauseous and feeling bad about it. For every person out there: Being super skinny or super obese is NOT something you should aspire to be. Also please stop talking to people about their weight or body. You never know what that person might be going through. What you see as "perfect body" could be a nightmare to that person.

genuine question: can someone be "built that way" even if they work out, I thought it wasn't natural to be obese because it's dangerous for your body? same as being severely underweight is dangerous, in no way am i trying to be horrible it's just a question. if you workout and eat a healthy regular diet, I didn't think it was natural to be obese? am I wrong

Everyone is commenting with such negativity. These people are not morbidly obese. They have extra weight which does not always mean they are unhealthy. Being plus sized is not being 600 pounds, it is just not being small. This happens. It happens because of stress, hormones, money, babies, genetics...sometimes you can't control your size without giving up your life to it. Your responses to their honesty is NOT ok. Shame on all of you who are commenting that their size shouldn't be glorified. Because yes, they should be seen as beautiful and the stigma around plus sized being unhealthy or obese is wrong.

These people are not saying that I do t like skinny people or if the happen to lose weight they would want to hate themselves. At the end of the day it’s their choice as someone that used to be plus sized and now I’m losing weight it’s my body and regardless what size you just have positivity for your body bc regardless if you get work done and lose weight and be plus sized you will never get out of the body your in so learn to love it and maybe so of you guys that are spreading negativity learn to spread positivity tooo. Peace and love to all of you beautiful creatures 🧘🏾💛💛

“There are privileges when you’re smaller” like a longer life and less risk for developing disease. It is never okay to shame people or make people feel bad for how they look, and at the same time it’s also not okay to promote unhealthy living. Being overweight is unhealthy. That’s a fact. I am willing to bet none of these people are vegan. You can definitely be chubby on a junk food vegan diet, but you never see a morbidly obese vegan, that’s not a thing. They think it’s not a choice, but they are choosing to eat animal products.

"My body is mine. It belongs to me. If I don't love it, who's going to?" My heart goes out to all of you. I'm so sorry you feel you have to fight so hard to feel whole and that being "plus size" makes you feel validated. I can personally tell you that God loves each and everyone of you unconditionally. His heart breaks to see this. I pray you can find peace and rest in knowing that your body is not your own. You are the temple of God. He is the one who can truly make you whole. Nothing in this world can satisfy and uplift a downcast spirit. They will only mask the symptoms of a hurting soul. "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give your rest." (Matthew 11:28 ) With loving prayers, grace and peace to you all.

I do not think that this was entirely representative. It was very much biased. As a person who's BMI was at 28 I killed myself to work it back down to 24. You should always want to lose weight if you're overweight because your health is at stake.

And when they ask if skinny people get more privileges and most of them agree I would have argued so much because it’s no one else’s fault for them being big we don’t get a lot of privileges some skinny people can’t do things big people can.

Healthy does not equal an underweight model body, they seem to think that when you have a healthy weight you're automatically super skinny and all, no you can be at a healthy weight but not have the perfect body shape or Not look super skinny and that's totally okay, as long as you're healthy.

Why are people acting like this in the comments?? They aren't suggesting obesity or saying to make it your lifestyle, they are just saying it's okay if you are obese and don't hate yourself over it because we are all human and should live our lives without worrying about social criticism! That's not fair it's not something you can just change in today's world... smh

"I want to lose weight" The girl basically said I'd be so happy if I magically lost weight and could still eat how I want. And all of them want to lose weight, even the Korean girl who said earlier that the only reason she doesn't want to is because it requires discipline and work. I'm not saying shame them but they shouldn't glorify obesity (let's call it what it is, not plus size). The amount of health risks and the decrease in your life span is real. It's not okay to say being obese is good.

I really hate how they say “skinny people get more privileges” or “skinny people don’t get it” it’s not the skinny people. It’s the people that are normally sized. Skinny refers to almost not eating enough in a day.

2:38 “I don’t want to work out 8 hours a day” what? You should at most do cardio for 30 minutes. You could watch tv while you do certain types of cardio. And the benefit isn’t being “skinny”. The benefit is being less likely to get a disease...

I am so skinny I can’t fit into a 00. I am not anorexic I’m just super tiny. I’m 5’0 and it’s just how I am. No I do not have more privileges or options lol I can’t even find any clothes that fit me. Be happy with what you are able to choose from because people like me don’t have a choice, we just have to wear kids, petite, or adjustable waist clothing.

I am overweight and have been since I was like 10. I didn't feel good in my body and during this lockdown I had gained weight and gained almost 15 kg. I got on the scale, looked at myself in the mirror and decided things need to change, and I'm the only one that can make that happen. I've been working out for 40 mins almost every day for over a month and I've been going on 7 km walks like 5 times a week aswell. And I've also been eating more fruit and veg and been eating less because I was eating way too much before. When I started I was at 85 kg and a little over a month later I'm at 79 kg now. I honestly feel so motivated and like I'm accomplishing something. You don't have to workout 8 hours a day, that's a bit extreme. Even just having a walk every day can help so much. I feel like a lot of these people in the video don't want to lose weight because they want to stay a part of this community.

Emily Arnold

Im sorry but some of the things they were saying kind of upset me. I never really struggled with being overweight in fact I was severely underweight until I was about 14 and now I’m at a decent weight for my height and I’m at a weight I’m confident with but I’ve also had to work to keep my body that way and that has kept me healthy and fit and strong for quite a few years now and it doesn’t seem like they’re doing anything to be healthy. I mean the one girl said she dances but all the other people say they don’t go to the gym and they eat more then normal to remain “plus-size” and don’t get me wrong I’m all for body positivity but a big big big part of having a beautiful body is having a healthy body and some of them don’t appear to have that or have any interest in having that.

CityFanTv -everything man city
Audrija Bhattacharya a tad overweights not bad but more than that is usually not healthy. It doesn’t matter if you can still run and walk, when you get older you will most likely die sooner and have more chance of cancer and heart disease
Audrija Bhattacharya
Audrija Bhattacharya 16 日 前
Weight does not equal health. As a plus sized person I eat a balanced diet and exercise. I can walk, run, and workout. Honestly, it should be normalized. Being morbidly obese isn't okay, but it is far more healthy for a young kid to have 5-10 extra pounds than develop an eating disorder or depression due to criticism from ignorant people like you.
