It is because he was not the main reason that made the Lakers lost. The absence of Mcgee and Howard is ! AD is not able to play as a PF and focus on scoring without these two players. Jokic is always double teamed and able to find the open teammate. That's why Lakers could not defend in the WCF this year.

Lebron to the Warriors sounds like a win-win for everyone. The Warriors get a solid chance at competing next season and the Lakers get a versatile young core around AD. The Lakers should get a coach like D'Antoni to maximize the potential of a Reeves and Poole back court tho. Pluz more of an offensive focus on the guards will help AD extend his prime.

Problem with the Warriors + Bron lineup is 1) they need to get to the playoffs first while trying to preserve those old legs for the playoffs, and 2) They still have an outside shooting problem. Lakers role players were actually shooting the 3 ball pretty well and not Bron.

How did the Warriors lose to the Lakers? Dubs couldn't make their threes while Davis controlled the paint. How did the Lakers lose to the Nuggets? It's not that Steph doesn't want to play with LeBron.. it's just at the time time that whole story was floating around, Steph would've had to leave the Warriors if he wanted to realistically play with LeBron. Even with LeBung, the Warriors would still need Wiggins in order to win it all. Klay is not the defender he once was. Now, if you swap Wiggins with Moody (Moody/Poole/Kuminga for LeBung), that might work. Sure, you're punting on the future, that's a given, but you'd have a lot of offensive fire-power and a pretty solid defensive core (Green/James/Wiggs). However, all we've heard since their elimination is that the W's are too small. Does this trade solve that issue? How do they overcome Denver's size and precision?

We said the same thing about KD on the Warriors. Two rings in a row and probably a third if they don't get injured vs Toronto. The culture Steph built makes it work. And the young guys are ruining that culture because they thought the window still included them.

KD never won a championship prior to the warriors, and even while there, EGO eventually led to his separation, even though he could have easily led that team to 2 or even 3 more championships. LBJ has already won prior, and had multiple battles (wins and losses) to GSW. LeBron can say he'd love to play with Steph, Klay, and Draymond, but at the end of the day, how the mesh or not mesh on the court, on the road trips, on the post game interviews, will be more of a factor than a single player's *perceived* sense of altruism personified.

@Jeris J. I think you're underselling how big the KD move was compared to this LeBron move. Kevin Durant left his own franchise for the Warriors, whom KD blew a 3-1 lead to in just the prior season. There can be not a single LeBron introduction, post-game, exit interview, etc. conference as palpable as KD's introduction conference. You've said it as well, LeBron has already won prior to this. So have the Warriors. There's just no longer a question of "who needs who" that was always attached to KD and the Warriors, which actually led to him leaving. There's always an ego attached to all the guys involved here, but I feel like everyone in this hypothetical understands that this is their final shot so to speak at winning in a conference that has the likes of Denver, Phoenix, and Memphis knocking on the door. This trade probably never happens due to Steph still liking Poole enough to keep him about, but if it were, I don't think anyone on Golden State would feel threatened because they've been in a much more pressued situation with KD and the gravity of expectations surrounding KD on your team.

I don’t see how you can play Lebron and draymond. At this point in his career, Lebron is basically a better version of draymond. He’s draymond but with the ability to score 20-25 pts and won’t cost you games with dirty plays. I’m not sure that getting Lebron would work out for the warriors, but it would be interesting. Losing Wiggins would hurt though.

Problem is that Lebron hardly plays any defense. It will be big if the Warriors lose Wiggins. Lebron is not easy to play with. Hachimura is very inconsistent.

@Adrian Pheiffer Eventhough English is not my first language I know what the term defensive liability is. Lebron tends to miss his defensive assignments, and stand around in a zone. This is why they needed to surround him with 3 and D players cause he is neither good at both. The Lakers were one of the worst defensive teams. Need more proof? At least I can provide facts and not just my feelings into this conversation.

Why does anyone think LeBron to GS is a good idea?? Why are people so desperate to get him more rings so he can pass Jordan? It's amazing how many people (including people in business) are willing to accomplish this by any artificial means necessary. Exactly why I can't stand basketball anymore!! Can't wait for Nuggets/Heat. Time to learn how to experience the game without it being Bron-centric.
